When Management Trumps Leadership

Much virtual ink has been spilt (think Peter Drucker) on the nuances of the difference between leadership and management. This gist of the literature is that good management is common, while good leadership is both harder to define and rare. Maybe, but time and again we find case examples of weak management skills undoing extraordinary vision and strategy. Getting it done is just as important as having the right idea about what it is. Leadership and management are two sides of the same coin.
