When Governance Looks at Design

As a trustee at a school considering a significant new building, this item on America's ugliest universities in Travel & Leisure caught my attention--and should be a cautionary message to everyone concerned with how campus design will fare as the decades roll on. I am pretty sure that the trustees at the New Jersey Institute of Technology would not be thrilled that one of their buildings is referred to as " crematorium-Modernism" by the writers.

Finding timeless design is a challenge, but those charged with approving architectural renderings should try and see the design through the eyes of someone years into the future. Some designs weather time well; others not so much.
