Getting Emotional

Anyone who thinks that politics offers little more than dry, arcane discussions of wonkish issues MUST hear the impassioned exchange between District of Columbus Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton and Representative David Dreier (R-CA).  Holmes Norton's refusal to yield the floor surely ranks among the great congressional speeches of all time, and illustrates well how crucial affect (emotion)--or at least its judicious use--is to leadership.
