Demographic Shift on a Global Scale: Africa Will Be the New Asia

This graphic from an August 3, 2015, article on The Economist web site reveals the changing world order to come across the remainder of the 21st Century. Besides the massive growth rate in Africa by 2050, notice the continued shrinkage in Europe and the continued declining growth rate in Asia. Also notice the countries on the 2015 list that drop off by 2050. To be sure, India, China and the USA are still at or near the top, but the rest of the list reflects a very different world.demodata. Another way to read this graphic is as a way to understand where future economic opportunities lurk.
