A Blip or a Trend: About the China Strategy

New data reported in the Chronicle of Higher Education show that a sharply diminished percentage of graduate students at US universities are coming from China:

While a single year does not make for a long-term trend, schools dependent on a "China strategy" to sustain enrollment (universities and boarding schools alike) need to keep a close eye on things. Whether it is a statistical blip or the leading edge of a geo-demograhic shift (remember Korea?) remains to be seen.
